Bob the Rescue Cat

Hello, and thank you for dropping by.

Bob is a "rescue cat" from Ireland, and is now residing in his new and "forever" home in Surrey, England.

As you can see from the photos on these pages, Bob is now a well cared for and happy puss. This website is an outline of his story from the information which has been collected since June 2005.

During the early part of June we were settled enough to be able to adopt a puss so started browsing seriously on the CatChat website for rescues in our area. Surprisingly few Surrey rescues were of any use to us. Many of them barred us as our postcode was not in their alloted area, which restricted us from using Cats Protection branches that were, in fact, quite close to us. The one that would accept us by postcode never responded to e.mails or telephone calls.

From looking at links and photos and reading all the descriptions we eventually found one which was listed as Surrey Cat Rescue, and that is how we found our boy Bob. An e.mail was sent asking if he was available and followed up by a telelphone call when we found that he was still looking for a home.
